A legacy built on principle.
Since 1970, Jay Pundit & Company has remained rooted in its community, its people and the belief that every client deserves careful legal counsel.
On 4 August 1970, the late Jayprakash Pundit founded a law practice in KwaDukuza. What began as a commitment to serve a community has become a lasting family legacy — shaped by generations of legal experience and the enduring values of justice, fairness and equity.
Rooted in the past. Ready for what's next.
Founder Jayprakash Pundit was later joined by his wife and partner, Priscilla Pundit. Their daughter, Nishana Panday, subsequently joined the practice, helping carry its service-driven approach into a new generation.
Following Jayprakash Pundit's passing in 2015, the firm continued to honour the standards he established. In 2025, the practice celebrated its 55th anniversary and a new chapter at the House of Dharma in KwaDukuza.
